SPECIAL NOTICE: Shipments Delayed to UK
To Our Customers in UK: UPDATE 1/19/08: It appears shipments are now beginning to move quicker through UK customs. The delay of 30 days for transit time and delivery now appears to have dropped to about 14 to 16 days. It's not perfect, but much improved. We believe transit times for delivery to UK addresses will be back to about 10-12 days within the next week or two. Thank you for your patience. January 5, 2008: Since Mid-December 2007 shipments to United Kingdom (Wales, England and Scotland) have experienced significant delays. Generally, during the holiday season we attribute any delays to heavy holiday traffic of parcels. However, this generally clears up within several days after Christmas. This has NOT happened this year. We suspect, as was the case approximately three years ago, that UK customs has stepped up inspections due to security concerns of contraband products or items. Shipments are being dispatched out of the U.S. on air carriers generally within 2 to 3 days after receipt by the U.S. postal system and generally arrive in UK within 24 hours. Shipments then take approximately 3-4 days to clear customs and another day or two for final delivery. However, it appears UK customs is backed up with a substantial backlog of inbound parcels. It appears now that shipments are taking approximately 3 to 4 weeks to be delivered after date of shipment. We hope this delay will be reduced by the end of January and normal 10 day transit times will return.
