- SG-1
Goggle, being a modular design, is the only goggle that can
accept
interchangeable prescription lenses, such as Green/Smoke for day, clear
for night. All models including the SG-1 are available with
the latest 4th generation Transitional (Auto-Light Adjusting) lenses
that automatically turn clear at night or indoors and gray outdoors in
sunlight.
- The XL-1
and Romer models cannot accept interchangeable lenses once
fitted with prescription lenses. If you want to change between
day and night lenses, the
only
option available is the SG-1. Otherwise you must order two pairs
of the XL-1 or Romer II models, one pair for night, one pair for
day. Or,
transitional lenses (also known as light-adjusting or photogrey) can be
selected that automatically lighten at night
and darken during the day.
- CQC
Model is a shield style goggle that allows a prescription insert
to be to be snapped behind the main ballistic shield. The CQC
prescription
lenses will be clear. You can swap between the included clear and
neutral slate ballistic shield for day and night ops.
- JP-2
is a
Wiley X sunglass that allows for a higher prescription level than the
SG-1, XL-1 and Romer models. See chart below.
- All Wiley X
goggles/sunglasses
are single vision only, NO BIFOCALS.
(More Info: Why no Bifocals?) Technicians
will only use the highest quality polycarbonate for production of your
prescription goggles. It is the most impact resistant material
available.
It will meet and exceed high velocity impact standards as defined by
all
current military specifications. All
work is done by professional technicians that specialize in
military/tactical,
industrial and sports lens applications exclusively.

IMPORTANT
NOTE: Pupil Distance (PD) must be included with your prescription. If
PD
is not on your prescription, please call your eye care specialist
and write it on your prescription or enter the information online
during
the order checkout process. If
your PD is 62 or higher, the above
limits may be exceeded to some degree. We will contact you after
order placement if we see a problem.
If
Your Prescription Should Change:
- Once
your
order is placed
online with the appropriate prescription information entered, we prefer
that you fax your prescription to us at 760-433-0693 to avoid
errors if possible.
Faxed prescriptions on file will automatically qualify for one-time
free
replacement lenses if your prescription should change within 1 year of
order placement. Just send us your new prescription. Unfortunately,
we cannot honor this offer if we do not have your prescription on file.
After
You Receive Your Order:
- When
you
receive your prescription
goggles, wear them a few times for extended periods to allow your eyes
to adjust. Goggle lenses are constructed very differently from
standard
eyeglass lenses due to the curvature of the lens and wrap back nature
of
goggles. They may, in a few cases, not feel quite right until
your
eyes adjust to the differences between goggles and your normal
eyeglasses.
If, after wearing your goggles for a period of time you feel there is
something
wrong with the way your lenses were produced, return your order and
we'll
have the lab verify the lenses, compare them to your prescription, and
correct the problem free of charge. Prescription orders cancelled
prior to shipment and started by our lab, are subject to charges for
the
work completed up to the point of cancellation. The cancellation
charge will not exceed $50.00. We do not allow returns of
prescription
orders for credit, but we will work with you to correct any problems
you encounter to your full and complete satisfaction.
